Indian company Revayu Energy enters Qatar market targets 100 MW in Middle East in next 2 years

Revayu Energy is pleased to announce that it has commenced operations in Doha, Qatar. With a target to achieve 4 GW by 2030, Qatar is opening up the potential market for solar expansion.

Currently using only 5 per cent energy through solar power, Qatar targets to achieve at least 20 per cent of energy through solar power by 2030. There is huge growth potential, and we are fortunate to be part of the growth story in the Middle East.

In collaboration with Q Solar in Qatar, Revayu Energy has completed a pilot solar project for Kahramaa, a state-owned electricity and water utility company in Qatar. With the right partner, Revayu aims to achieve 100 MW in upcoming years in the Middle East region.

The Qatar solar energy market is experiencing significant growth due to its commitment to diversify its energy sources and reduce its dependency on fossil fuels. Solar energy, as a clean and renewable energy source, has gained immense popularity in Qatar and is being harnessed to meet the increasing energy demands of the country. The market is witnessing rapid advancements in solar technology and infrastructure, with various government initiatives and favourable policies promoting solar energy adoption.
With average daily sunshine of around 9.5 hours, low-cloud cover conditions and plentiful space, there is great scope for small, medium as well as large-scale solar power projects in the country. Qatar’s global horizontal irradiance is 2,140 kWh per m2 per year, which makes it well-suited for solar photovoltaic (PV) systems.
